Hi, here and there I get comics in cbr that bring up an Loading Error: Possibily corrupt file (this is a typo, right?). Sorry, I can't share the comics here, but I guess they are made with a newer rar-Version. I can decompress them with 7zip and compress them as normal cbz and comics++ is able to read it. Any chance for an update of your decompressor?

My Microsoft Store claims I have installed version 1.4.9.0. In the app-help its still 1.4.7, but maybe you just forgot updating this text. I can use drag&drop to open files, which is an 1.4.8-feature.

The scroll bar will not come up. The instructions seem simple enough: "Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to popup the scroll bar." But swiping won't bring up the scroll bar. Nothing happens, or sometimes the task bar comes up if the task bar is hidden and I start the swipe from the very bottom.

Is there a trick to it?

Other swiping works. Swiping left or right turns the pages just fine. Other than not being able to access the scroll bar, the app seems great.

I am running Comics++ v 1.4.7.0 on a windows 10 2-in-1 laptop. This issue is occurring in both laptop and tablet mode, and for multiple files.

As a workaround, I've enabled onscreen buttons in settings, so I can click the little button and pull up the scroll bar instead. But swiping would be really useful.

Hi and first of all let me say thank you to all staff for this wonderful app.

I'm having an issue where, to a rate of 50% of times, more or less (depending on the file) whenever I open a .cbz or .cbr file, some pages are completely missing, and the program only shows the background (set to my preferred brightness).

The temporary solution I found to this was to simply open the file again. Then, the page which was missing when I reloaded the file starts showing again. However, by reading on I find most of times that yet another page is missing, having to reopen the file again and so on. Sometimes the file loads completely with all pages, and I can read the Manga til the end with no problems, but this is rare.

I don't think it's a problem with the files because they are various and from different sources. Moreover, they open with no issues in other softwares I tried. Yours, however, is my favorite for its simplicity and touch screen friendly interface. Would hate to abandon it because of this annoyance.

I'm using Windows 10 on a Lenovo Yoga Book tablet, in vertical orientation (I dont know if the problem happens in horizontal orientation because I don't use it this way).

It would be great if this got looked into, sometime.

If you need any more information on my part please inquire.

Thank you and once again congratulations on such a wonderful app!

First off, I really like comics++, which is why I'd love sort out this pdf issue so I can stop using a crappy pdf Reader to read my new bundle of manga.

I just got a big bundle of manga from Kodansha through humble bundle and, just like the last bundle, the cbz scans are atrocious (think 1990's fax machine bad). So I grab the PDF versions instead, which are great but comics++ chokes on them. If the pages load at all it's so slowly and randomly that it's unreadable (I waited 15min and it was still loading). I understand these might be large files (200-500mb) but any straight pdf viewer (xodo, Sumatra etc) open pages instantly and have zero issues. They stink as comics readers compared to comics++ though so I'd love to get it resolved. Please let me know if there is anything I can do on my end!

Thanks!

We've received reports of people experiencing crashes in 1.4.0.0 or newer.

The first thing we'd ask you to do is to reinstall the app. Otherwise please see below see how you can help us debug.

Crashing could be caused by a few problems:
1. Upgrading from an old version of app - reinstall should fix
2. Corrupted settings - reinstall should fix
3. Incompatibility with OpenCV - please send us the archive images that you are trying to open

Regarding 1 & 2
1.4.0.0 uses a new modular settings systems. When you upgrade to 1.4.0.0 or later it attempts to upgrade old settings to the new settings. We did our best to try and catch all corner cases but it seems like for some people the upgrade will crash the app, including a reinstall for some. This undefined behavior makes it extremely difficult to debug. If you are crashing on launch on a fresh please make a post down below with your system spec.

Regarding 3
OpenCV makes it possible for us to do fancy things like border removal. We can't guarantee it's bug free as it is a third party library. Luckily it's open source and if there is an issue we can fix it. Our internal testing shows it works fine with all our limited archives and image collection but some are reporting crashes. If you experience crashes when opening an image/archieve, missing pages, strange coloring, please pm me a link of the archive you are using and we can attempt to debug this issue.

I don't know if this should be posted in the Issues section, but it's more like a demand to make it better, it's working but not as expected. Please move if it's not the proper section.

If you check Zingbox (android app), when I use the vertical scroll, it keeps scrolling with the same amount vertically each time, but in your app's case, it scrolls with a specific amount but when it gets to the limit of another image, it scrolls it up to the top, instead of scrolling with that specific amount. This gets annoying when reading Korean manhuas/webtoons which are usually really long chunks of images, that are 1:10 ratio, not the same as 2:3 ratio of an ordinary paper.

I hope this gets a better management of this good feature. thanks again for this app.

I've used Comics++ for years and have always found it very comfortable to use. My laptop's touch pad works like a tablet screen. I am able to pinch to zoom in and out and use two fingers to scroll. I enjoyed being able to zoom in and move around the page.

This functionality used to work well with Comics++ and was the number one reason I used it over other cbr readers. I haven't used Comics++ in a while, so this may be due to the latest update (I'm not sure when that was), but this functionality seems to have been removed.

Is there a way for me to turn it back on? Searching the settings hasn't brought up much for me.

Thanks

Hello, I'm having an issue where any double-page spreads are appearing at the end of the comic, out of order, and making the reading experience very confusing. I assume this is due to the way the individual files are named, but it seems unrealistic to go through and manually rename hundreds of comics. Is there a fix or work around for this issue?

I'm running the Windows 10 version from the App Store, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

After a zoom on a part of the page, it is impossible to return automaticaly on the fit full page. To return on the fit full page you must load another comic and reload the first one.
Can you load every pages on fit full page everytime ?
