Fullscreen button is gone with the new version, and there's an icon that hows on top of every page of books. TIL there are people who read comics in a window?

Yes that is easy to add back. Its one of the side effects when porting to native Windows 10 app. They don't come with the full screen button by default. You can switch to tablet mode using the notification bar and it will be full screen.
We'll push a release with this fix along with some other small fixes next week. Cheers!
